We all find that ‘time’ seems to run our lives;
Work Schedules
Appointments
Committee meetings, clubs, Organizations
Making Supper
Cleaning etc.
We eventually run out of time to relax, enjoy our families and ’smell the roses’ so to speak. This can be causing physical and mental harm to our bodies as well as mental anguish.
How do we manage to get back on track and give ourselves the time we need for ourselves?

When starting out, it’s not uncommon to personally handle all the work involved with running your business, but if all goes well, you’ll reach a point where it makes more sense to pay someone else to perform some of the administrative functions, so you can devote more time to serving customers and generating more income. In many cases, bookkeeping is the one of the first tasks to be delegated.
Unless you’ve been well trained, a qualified bookkeeper will be able to process your paperwork more efficiently than you and make sure that all income and expenses are recorded appropriately for income tax purposes. Keep in mind, however, that for your bookkeeper to do his or her job accurately, it’s up to you to provide all required information. Since you are likely paying for the service by the hour, it is also in your best interest to make sure that your paperwork is organized in a way that your bookkeeper doesn’t have to spend a lot of time going through it all to figure out what everything is.

Do you ever wonder if you have a perfect work of art in you? You know, when you feel a really juicy inspiration coming over you…
So everything is going along swimmingly. You’re in fine form, just painting, carving, or potting up a storm. But then you start to get giddy with pre-success. Maybe you don’t even notice when you’ve crossed the line.

When you call 911 because there is a distinct and suspicious odor in the neighborhood and the culprit turns out to be two pairs of sneakers, three pairs of underwear and a dozen or more hotdog remnants of unknown origin and vintage found under your child’s bed, it’s past time to get your child’s room organized! When your child has gotten lost for hours in the mounds of clutter trying to find his way from the bed to the door, it’s past time to teach your child to organize himself! But if you haven’t reached that stage yet, there is still hope!

How many times have you said, “I just don’t have enough time” or “I wanted to get more finished today, but I ran out of time”? We seem to start the day off great in the morning, and somehow by midday, we feel like we are ‘behind’ and are constantly play catch-up the rest of the day. Where did we go wrong, what happened?
It is because ‘time wasters’ start to take control of our lives. Little things keep popping up that we do not plan for and before you know it, we run out of time.

Five Tips to Refresh and Renew Yourself in the New Year
Let’s face it: new years are not always “new”. Too often it feels like nothing more than a new calendar in which to write down pages of non-stop activities, project deadlines, social obligations, and commitments made by someone other than you.
SO stop! It’s time to plug into something that YOU choose-something that can renew your batteries and refresh your interest in work AND life. Unlike the bobble-headed figures that nod “yes” at every touch, you DO get to declare “time out” and place yourself first.

It is 6:00 AM…you have already hit the snooze button twice and are dreading the morning marathon that lies in front of you. Making sure everyone is dressed and ready for school is enough of a process, especially when everyone is bleary-eyed (and oh-so cheery) at the very beginning of the day. Soon the chaos begins… “Mom, where are my shoes?” “I can’t find my homework!” “Did you sign my field trip form?” Everyone is scurrying around trying to get ready while you are sweating over being late…again.

A woman that I recently worked for had a real mess in her home, at least SHE though so. She woke up one morning and could not find anything that she was looking for. By the time that she placed the call and I answered the phone, she was a jumble of nerves, crying and thought she was a totally disorganized lousy homemaker.
Believe me; this scenario is replayed more times than you may think. We get so overwhelmed in life that we don’t realize that our world is turning to clutter until one fine day when we are totally lost. Then it hits us, “I need the help of a Professional Organizer”!

When my daughter was very young, she would wander into my office and want to chatter, see what I was doing and generally get my undivided attention. In the early days I tried to multitask and distract her while I continued to write that very important letter, or finish the project I was working on. Then I would feel guilty that I was wasting our precious time together on work stuff when I could be enjoying my time with her. I swear I could hear the song ‘Cat’s in The Cradle’ coming from somewhere in the room!
So I learned how to ’swap hats’ in an instant. From solopreneur to dad in 3 seconds flat. And I learned how to go back from dad to solopreneur in the same amount of time.

None of us ever feel that we are going to be out of work for very long. We jump into looking for work in as many directions as we can think of, confident that we will find a suitable position quickly, and move on with our lives.
A few weeks pass and we see that we have been pursuing leads willy-nilly and often can’t quite remember where we applied and the details of each position.
