Using an online registration system for your event can make life for event planners far easier by saving time and removing much of the manual labor of entering data, processing payments and writing reports. However, often online registration systems offer only some of these options and only some of the time. The key, then, is to choose an online event registration system that offers total, integrated automation.

When I do speaking engagements, I always stress the importance of writing things down.

When you write things down, it frees your mind for more big picture thinking and you don’t have to worry about the details.

That said, these are the 3 lists you absolutely must use to manage your time effectively:

A lot of the habits and practices you have today seem to be serving you.

You decide to redo your bedroom. You spend weeks, even months on it. You read up on the latest decorating ideas, design the perfect layout and pick the perfect fabrics and colors. You finally commit and do it. You’re thrilled with the results.

Or it could be tax time. You haven’t thought about taxes since last year. But once again it is crunch time. You stress, stay up all night, sort through all of the papers, find everything you need and you do it. Once again, you file everything on time. This year you even get a refund.

One of the most common goals my clients tell me about is that they want more time.

If you can relate, I have good news for you – if you put just one of these tips into practice, you will save hours every week:

1. Learn to say no
Saying no helps you set strong boundaries.

What do you have to say no to so that you can say yes to your goals this year?

2. Play to your strengths
With everything in life, I believe you should play to your strengths.

If you’re terrible at cleaning your house, hire a cleaning lady. If you’re not great at organising, hire a professional organiser.

We all find that ‘time’ seems to run our lives;
Work Schedules
Appointments
Committee meetings, clubs, Organizations
Making Supper
Cleaning etc.

We eventually run out of time to relax, enjoy our families and ’smell the roses’ so to speak. This can be causing physical and mental harm to our bodies as well as mental anguish.

How do we manage to get back on track and give ourselves the time we need for ourselves?

How many times have you said, “I just don’t have enough time” or “I wanted to get more finished today, but I ran out of time”? We seem to start the day off great in the morning, and somehow by midday, we feel like we are ‘behind’ and are constantly play catch-up the rest of the day. Where did we go wrong, what happened?

It is because ‘time wasters’ start to take control of our lives. Little things keep popping up that we do not plan for and before you know it, we run out of time.

Sometimes don’t you feel like you are running around in circles and have lost control?

You will get a lot more accomplished and have less stress in your life if you follow four steps to organizing your time. Most of the stress and ‘running out of time’ that we experience, is due to a time management problem. Don’t feel bad, most of us have it, even some of our family and friends.

There are two ways to start your day.

The first is to dive in; tackling whatever is in front of you. You might check your emails. This is an interesting beginning as it is always possible something fun and new came in since you last looked.

Email is fun! And of course - it is important! But then you come up for air after working in answering some emails, following through on some links (weren’t those sites fascinating?) and figuring out how you can use the information you just overloaded yourself with. You look at the time - and its noon. Where did the time go?

In my profession as a virtual assistant, I am in the front of the delegating lines and I see firsthand what works and what doesn’t. Oftentimes, new clients will ask me to coach them a bit on delegating work to our company and I am always happy to do so.

If you are currently delegating work to others or you may do so in future, here are five ways to make your delegating experience more effective.

Eat your frog? By now you’re wondering if I’ve gone stark raving mad! No, I’m not mad.

I first learned of this principle from Brian Tracy.

Your frog is the most important task of the day. It is the one thing which, if done quickly and effectively, will ensure your greatest success.
